 Job Description:

• Primary responsibility is of cargo planning at optimized costs
• Collaborating with all Supply Chain parties involved with shipments (3PLs, suppliers, transportation providers, freight forwarding, custom agents, shipping personnel, customer service, and materials personnel) to ensure meets their delivery and visibility requirements.
• Administer a RFQ for lane freights and negotiate with supply chain parties to obtain the best freight rate.
• Interact with Marketing, PPC and Production to obtain a monthly & 1 week Dispatch Plan
• Optimize dispatch plan w.r.t to cost of transportation and create 1 week Logistics Plan

• Maximize Order to Fill Rates
• Maximize loadability
• Container & truck planning
• Aligning container stuffing with vessel schedule in coordination with Plant Warehouse to reduce cost of buffer & detention
• Route Planning
• Mix Load Planning across plants
• Reverse logistics opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with destination shipping instructions and export compliance regulations.
• Interact with logistics cost accountant
• Contributing to long term & short term logistics planning & strategy
• Contributing to logistics cost savings
• Develop tactical planning policies, processes & procedures
• Individually drive cost reduction & service improvement efforts through benchmarking & Innovation to achieve savings over and above budget. Should possess the ability to conceptualize and implement solutions.
